Austyn finishes tied 1st
Austyn Cambden finished joint 1st in the Keith Bass Trophy played at Dunstable downs golf club. The trophy is the South East England boys competition and Austyn representing Essex for the 1st time finished tied 1st. Unfortunately there was not a play off to decide the winner and Austyn lost out on a count back score for the last 18 holes. Nevertheless this was an outstanding achievement for the youngster who has only been playing golf for a couple of years now and there will be many more successes for this talented young man. It also helped Austyns handicap to be reduced and with the help of a 39 point stableford score in the Faldo wedge competition he has reduced his handicap to 6 and looks to be heading in a really positive direction. After his Keith Bass performance Austyn was disappointed not to have won outright and felt he had the game to win. He certainly wasn't phazed by the occasion and really enjoyed the experience. Well done Aus keep up the good work
